a box

after some fiddling and modding, I came up with this box today - which met with total approval from the nearest family members... here's a pic so you can decide.

I will be holding a class on boxes on July 7th and will then share all my secrets - and instructions on how to make this one. Shoot me an email if you are interested!

I will work on this challenge this afternoon - what great colors !!! Very elegant.

I was curious about the weaving... I have done a lot of it with Japanese Paper, which is more maleable than the "normal" paper, put is does make it easier in a lot of ways... the thing about weaving is taking a picture that does not look skewed... Take my word for it, it is all well aligned - after about 12 pictures, I gave up and chose this one.

Anyway, these are the other couple different types I made today... now as soon as I hit enter, it will take 20 minutes... see you later...

I then decided to create cards with flowers... I don't have a tulip stamp set, but I thought these turned out pretty cute...

no one has eaten in my house since Friday... my family has been left to fend for themselves while I have fun.. ha!

here's another sampler - but first, a picture of the absolutely magnificent tulips my husband gave me today... he must not be very unhappy, then, all things considered - and all the sandwiches he's been having to produce...
